Adding coupons to the Coupon Database is a quick and easy process, from which everyone benefits. Not only does it keep coupons current, but it also makes searches more productive.
First, before entering any coupons, perform a search to see if someone else hasn’t already entered it. If it hasn’t been entered, click on the “Add” button. Below the search box, you will see some blank boxes, a place where you are able to enter your coupons. Below is what you will enter in each box:
*Description: This is where you enter the product and size the coupon is good for. If the coupon says it’s good on any product, just type ‘any’. If it’s a free product coupon or a B1G1 coupon, include the ‘up to’ amount in parenthesis.
Examples:
Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Steak 4 oz Pouch, Any Variety
Minute Maid Orangeade 20 oz. juice drink free WYB Minute Maid 20 Juice drink, any (up to $1.29)
Amount: Enter the amount of the coupon, the way you would write money, but do not include the dollar sign.
Example: .75 1.00 and 1.50
If the coupon is a B1G1 coupon or a free product coupon simply write the words B1G1 or FREE in this box.
Off: This is where you enter the total number of items needed for this coupon. If the coupon is a B1G1 coupon, then enter ‘2’ here.
Expiration: Enter the coupon expiration date. If there is no expiration date, enter NED, for No Expiration Date. Dates should be written as follows: 9/31/06 (use numeric formats only for entering dates so the database software will recognize it).
Source: In the drop down menu, select what type of coupon it is. If it’s a Mail-In-Rebate, Try-Me-Free form or Home Mailer, select the appropriate box.
Comments/Details: This is where you will add any extra information about the coupon, if there is any. Following are some, but not all examples of extra information you can add.
*Insert and Insert Dates: If you are entering an insert coupon, it is very important that you enter the insert it came from and the date it came out, if you know it. Example: 9/3/06 SS or 9/3/06 P&G.
*If you are adding an Internet Printed Coupon, this is where you will enter the link for others to print the coupon. If no link is added, the coupon cannot be permitted. All links will be checked for validation.
*If the coupon says Do Not Double you can enter DND in the box to inform others.
*If you are entering a winetag, you can enter the name of the wine you found it on, if you know it.
