You are frugal royalty. And as such, it could be your responsibility to bless others with your gift and your fabulousness. There are several ways to do this. Let’s make the world a better place.
Okay, so I admit that was a little tongue in cheek. After all, how many people might consider it a blessing if you share your technique of washing out baggies? Still, there are many that actually could benefit from a frugal lifestyle or from the frugal fruits of your labor. If you are interested in giving back, here are some ways to do it.
1. Provide for others
Can you use your savvy shopping skills to provide food and needed goods to others? Maybe you could stock up on school supplies or non perishable food. While it might not cost you much, it could be priceless to those in need.
You can also use some of your savings from frugal practices to benefit others who need a hand. For example, if you save $20 a week by making your own coffee, you might be willing to set that amount aside to help someone with a medical expense.
2. Teach others
Whenever I hear of someone who was recently laid off or come upon hard times, I mention the fact that my own family is on a limited budget. I talk about how little we can spend to feed our family of five, for example. If someone is interested in finding out how to live frugally, I am willing to share my experiences.
Alternatively, you could offer to give a talk or a class about frugal living or good money stewardship in the home. Teach a man to fish and all that.
3. Consuming less
Frugal living doesn’t all have to be about saving money. You can save the environment too! By reusing products, consuming less and being more conscientious of your habits, you can help save resources for others in the world and especially future generations.
