How to Make a Buck in Hollywood…

when you’re unemployed.

Okay, perhaps, I’m being a bit harsh. You decide if this next lawsuit involving a former “Beverly Hills 90210” is a stretch.

Gabrielle Carteris is currently suing the producers of a movie she appeared in claiming that one of the film’s choking scenes left her with permanent nerve damage.

The 47-year-old actress says she was left partly paralyzed after a choking scene in the 2006 TV movie “Past Tense” went too far. According to the suit, Carteris has no feeling in parts of her body, and her face disfigured.

The actress told TV’s “Access Hollywood” that at first she didn’t realize anything was wrong and that it was the cast and crew on the film who first noticed she looked strange.

“On camera, my face started to change… It was like I became The Joker,” the actress told “Access Hollywood.” “I started crying and I said, `I’m so embarrassed.'”

Carteris says she waited to go public with her pain until she could work on dealing with her now-manageable spasms, which, at one point, left her with a speech impediment.

Now she says she wants retribution.

In her lawsuit, Carteris claims producers put her in “unreasonable risk of physical harm.”

As for the movie producers, they (naturally) deny the accusations.

Who do you think is to blame in this situation?

Another way to make a buck in Hollywood is to actually work and that’s exactly what rapper Snoop Dogg is doing a lot of.

The 36-year-old hip-hop star, real name Calvin Broadus, is all ready a successful musician, who parlayed his fame into a reality TV series and now he is venturing into the world of daytime TV.

The rapper is currently preparing to make an appearance on the soap opera One Life to Live. According to show producers, Snoop will make an extended cameo on the long-running series in which he will perform “Sensual Seduction” and “Life Of Da Party” – two songs from his new album “Ego Trippin’.”

In addition, he’ll also remix the program’s theme song and act in scenes for episodes set to air on May 8th and 9th.
