Making more space in any or all of your closets will allow you to stash more stuff behind closed doors and help you limit the clutter from view. You’ll also be able to keep things in one place, making your items easier to find when you need them.

Get Hooked up
There are all kinds of hooks you can find to use inside your closets, from those that go over the top of the door to provide space for belts, ties, handbags, caps, or anything you else you want to hang up, to single hooks that can be placed randomly wherever there is an extra few inches of space.
Use these hooks on the narrow sidewalls of each closet, install them behind hanging clothes to store handbags and seasonal items such as hats and scarves or robes or sweaters. Place them high and low throughout the closet for tons of extra hanging space.
You can also add several individual hooks or a hanging rack with several hooks to the inside of the door. You’ll be amazed by how much more stuff you can store in a closet with the addition of a few simple hooks. You can even find some that are stylish or funky or you can choose brightly colored ones for children’s closets.
Don’t stop at bedroom closets either. Add hooks to your hall closet to create extra space so you’ll have plenty of room for guest’s coats, umbrellas, and handbags, too.
