How to Use Coupons at a Warehouse Grocery Store

Did you know that you can use coupons and discounts at those warehouse grocery stores, such as Costco, Sam’s Club and BJs? It is true. You just have to know which coupons you can use and how to get them. Read more to learn about using coupons at warehouse stores on your groceries, and you’ll save even more than you have been when you shop.

Manufacturer Coupons

Manufacturer coupons that are not store specific can be found in several different places, including Sunday inserts from the newspaper, online at Coupons.com and other websites, in magazines and more. BJs is currently the only one of the three major warehouse stores that will accept manufacturer coupons.

You can only use one coupon per bundled item. For example, if you pick up a three pack of cleaning solution, you can only use one, not three, coupons on the item. At one time, some stores allowed multiple coupons, but the policy has changed, and this is no longer allowed.

Store Coupons

Both BJs and Costco offer paper store coupons to its members, and in BJs case,t hey can often be stacked with manufacturer coupons for double savings. You’ll find these store coupons in flyers or print outs at the store, online to print yourself or in monthly mailings sent out to members.

Always make sure that you are opted in to mailings from your warehouse club, and be sure to stop by the customer service desk to see if there are additional coupons available.

Personalized Discounts

Sam’s Club gives out “eValues,” which are personalized discounts available only to its “Plus-Level” members. These discounts can be loaded onto membership cards and is often based on the shopping habits of the individual members. Regular members don’t have access to the eValues.

Using coupons can be a smart way to make your grocery dollars stretch, even at a warehouse store or shopping club.
