New Image Camps is dedicated to instilling proper exercise routine and health habits in young people. These weight loss camps specialize in helping young people, ages 7-19, gain a new image and improve their self esteem by providing the tools both physically and emotionally to be successful in losing weight and becoming healthy. Accredited by the American Camp Association, these camps have separate facilities for boys and girls and maintain a low counselor to camper ratio of 4 to 1. If you have a child struggling with weight issues this is real option to changing his or her life in a positive direction.
Currently New Image Camps is running a contest to for potential campers to win a 24 day campership. The estimated value is over $4,000! They will choose five girls and five boys to win the contest. Applications are being accepted from now until June 1, 2011. The winners will enjoy their campership starting on July 27th through August 17th.
What can you expect during your stay? Campers will spend time at Camp Pocono Trails on 350 acres by a beautiful lake and have access to two swimming pools. The activities include cooking classes, trips to New York City, boating, football, tennis, soccer, jet skiing, drama, arts, fitness training, and more than I can list here. This will prove to be a life changing experience for all involved.
So how do you enter? You need to create an essay of no more than 500 words to be submitted to a panel for judging. The essay, “Imagine Me! I’m Up for the Challenge at New Image Camp”, will be judged on clarity, story and creativity. The official rules and details can be found on the site HERE.
I encourage you to visit the website and consider entering the contest. Losing weight can be difficult especially since weight gain comes with emotional as well as physical issues. This could be what restores a child’s self esteem and puts him or her on the road back to health mentally and physically.
