A man named Harold Camping, who is a broadcaster on Christian radio, has made the prediction that the world will end on May 21, 2011. If you are among the people who believe that he is correct with his prediction, then you have very little time left to get your life in order. Fortunately, there are some insurance policies that are designed to take affect after The Rapture happens.
From what I am understanding, The Rapture is also called “The End of Days”. It is a belief that is part of many Christian religions. To summarize, The Rapture is when God will call the people who are true believers into Heaven, while leaving all other people behind. Part of this belief includes the concept that the Earth will be destroyed. It won’t be completely obliterated, however, because part of the belief also includes the idea that there will be a lot of very sad unbelievers who are left on the Earth, and not taken into Heaven.
There are some people who are quite certain that they will be taken to Heaven when The Rapture comes. It seems that The Rapture includes humans, only, and not their pets. The pets are going to be among those who are left behind. A company named Eternal Earth-Bound Pets, USA, has an solution to this potential problem.
The company is made up of a group of “dedicated animal lovers, and atheists”. Their website explains that since they are all atheists, you can be completely certain that they will still be here after The Rapture happens. This is designed to give those who expect to be taken to Heaven on that day some peace of mind about how their pet will be doing, after they are gone.
For $135.00, Eternal Earth-Bound Pets will guarantee that if The Rapture occurs within ten years from the day you purchase their insurance, they will rescue one of your pets. Additional pets can be added to the rescue insurance for $20.00 per pet.
The company can accommodate dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and small caged mammals. They cover: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, and Iowa. They also are able to rescue horses, camels, llamas, and donkeys in certain states (New Hampshire, Idaho, Vermont, and Montana).
Right now, there is someone who is selling $100,000 Rapture Insurance policies on eBay. You pay $19.99, and you receive $100,000 worth of insurance for your spouse or child, (whom you are reasonably certain are not going to be taken to Heaven along with you when The Rapture occurs). A copy of the insurance plan will be mailed to the recipient of your choosing. There will be no refunds given if The Rapture does not occur as it is predicted to on May 21, 2011. This particular eBay auction will end May 22, 2011.
