NPR released another episode of “Morning Edition” on June 29, 2012. This episode is called “High Court Health Care Ruling Shifts Actions to States”. This episode discusses the responsibilities that states have in regards to the Affordable Care Act.

The episode also talks about the expansion to Medicaid, and how states who choose not to expand their Medicaid program will leave many of their citizens without health insurance.

The episode goes over, in general, how the Democrats and Republicans responded to the Supreme Court’s ruling about the Affordable Care Act. It also points out that some states could choose to resist expanding their Medicaid programs, (which will cause their citizens to have less health insurance options). It notes that another case is coming up regarding the birth control mandate.
