If you are new to the food blog, then welcome! I have to confess that I need a little welcome as well. That is because starting today, I am new to the food blog too. If you are familiar with this blog, then I hope you will help me get to know the ropes. Voice your opinions in the comment section or through a private message. I would really love to know what you would like to see for this blog, what works, what doesn’t work, etc.
While I am new to the food blog, you might have seen me around before. I’ve been blogging with Families.com since December 2006. And while I have written posts for many, many of the blogs, either as a regular blogger or as a guest blogger (including with the food blog), I’m probably best known for posting at the frugal blog, where I have put in my share of low cost recipes and meal ideas.
I’ve been really wanting to do something more regular here in the food blog. And with the holidays coming up, I am just completely excited! Think of all of the yummy stuff that will be coming our way.
While I tend to cook hearty family meals and make lots of homemade baked goods, I also enjoy exploring the finer points of food. One of my favorite magazines is Saveur. Not only does the food look gorgeous, but I can be introduced to new, fresh ingredients, techniques and food history.
Still, I have a lot to learn, and I hope that you will enjoy exploring the food blog with me in the coming months.
