These individuals do it all, from creating the actual product or service, to marketing, billing, accounting, scheduling, and everything else that the business entails. Holiday bonuses are usually something that your boss bestows upon you at this time of year. If you are your own boss, there is no one else that is going to reward you for a job well done. While this may sound unfortunate, it really isn’t, if you think about it. Since you are the boss, you are in charge of doling out the holiday bonus – to yourself. The idea of giving a bonus to yourself may sound silly but you deserve it and, as I said before, no one else is going to do it.
The best thing about being in charge of giving yourself a holiday bonus is that you get to decide what it will be. If your business is doing well and can afford it, cash is always nice. Since it is not your paycheck, it is a little chunk of money just for you to spend on whatever you wish. Or, you could get yourself a gift. Nothing practical, though. Something that is just for your enjoyment. It does not have to be big or expensive, just something that you would like to have. You could even treat yourself to a day at a spa, a trip to the theater or a museum, or any other place that you would like to go. You have worked hard this year to help your business be the best that it can be. There is no time like the holidays to treat yourself to a reward for all of your hard work.
