Jamie Lynn Spears Back on TV and Papa Spears Stays in Control

Coming soon to primetime… Jamie Lynn Spears… minus her growing baby bump.

The pregnant “Zoey 101” star (and Brit’s little sis) will appear in an episode of the ABC comedy, “Miss Guided” on March 20th. But don’t be looking for signs of a bun in the oven. Show producers say the episode was shot in October after Spears wrapped “Zoey 101,” but prior to the teen announcing that she is expecting her first child.

The sitcom, which is considered a midseason addition to ABC’s primetime lineup, stars Judy Greer playing a formerly awkward high school student who returns to her alma mater as a guidance counselor. According to show producers, Spears will appear in the premiere episode, called “Hot Sub,” as Mandy Ferner, a troubled student who gets some exciting news from college.

Also, lending some star power to the new series is Ashton Kutcher, who executive-produced the sitcom. He plays a hunky substitute teacher and a possible romantic interest for Greer’s character.

Meanwhile, a judge just granted Jamie Lynn’s dad an extension of his conservatorship over sis Brit’s finances.

According to court records, James (Jamie) Spears will remain in control of Brit’s fortune and other aspects of the pop star’s life until July 31, 2008. The move extends the temporary conservatorship that had been ordered on February 4th, during Spears’s second stint in a psychiatric hospital. The temporary conservatorship had been scheduled to expire March 10th.

Daddy Spears has been managing his 26-year-old daughter’s health needs and her estimated $100 million fortune since February 1st, when a judge named him and Andrew Wallet temporary co-conservators, giving them the right to employ bodyguards and cut out deadweights such as Sam Lufti from Britney’s life.

Sources say while Britney initially resisted her father’s role as conservator the pop wreck is now okay with her dad being in control, especially since he was the one who hammered out a deal that allows her to visit with her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 17 monthsa privilege that was stripped from her in January and not reinstated until a couple of weeks ago.
