The expedited delivery of the government’s economic stimulus package checks to working Americans has prompted several tour groups to unveil new deals to sunny locales. Tour operators are no doubt trying to lure sun worshippers to spend some of Uncle Sam’s dollars on fabulous trips to resorts bordered by cobalt blue waters and powder soft sand beaches.
If you are looking for a way to spend your newly acquired cash and catch a tan for an unbeatable price you might consider this budget saver to Jamaica:
For $839 per person (plus $100 in taxes) you will receive round-trip airfare from Philadelphia (add $30 for flights from New York City, $60 for Orlando, and $100 for Dallas and Chicago) to sunny Jamaica; four nights’ accommodations, transfers, all meals and tips, and water sports.
The Riu Tropical Bay package will place you on the beautiful beaches of western Jamaica, where you can relax for five fabulous days. Your trip starts when you land at the Montego Bay airport. From there you will be given a sightseeing tour of Jamaica’s northwestern coast during the 45-mile ride to the Riu Tropical Bay, located in Negril.
The resort is located directly on the white-sand beach of Bloody Bay, so you’ll be in the perfect spot to soak up the rays and watch unobstructed sunsets. You can supplement your beach lounging with a variety of water activities available at the resort including sailing, snorkeling, and windsurfing. Your travel package fee also includes one free scuba lesson in the resort’s pool.
The hotel has three pools, including a freshwater pool, with an air-conditioned Victorian-style main building and bungalows. There is also a kids’ club, ping-pong tables, volleyball and tennis courts, and golf. Since the package is all-inclusive, it covers all meals, tips, and beverages (nonalcoholic and alcoholic) at the resort’s six bars and four restaurants.
The deal is being offered by Apple vacations and is only good for travel during the months of June and July.
