So this is what it’s like to have more money than you know what to do with…
Hip-hop mogul and newlywed Jay-Z is looking to expand his range of investments by venturing into the world of baseball. Word has it the rap superstar wants buy into the New York Yankee franchise.
If the deal does go through Jay-Z will add his new investment to his empire that already includes the Roc-A-Fella Records music label, Rocawear clothing, plus his share of the New Jersey Nets basketball team. But the Nets are not the only sporting team Beyonce’s husband has tried to hook up with. Back in 2005 Jay-Z was linked to a deal with London soccer team Arsenal Football Club, but according to the singer turned investor, negotiations to buy into the team fell through.
As for his interest in the Yankees, Jay-Z told London’s Time Out magazine that he is in the midst of negotiating a final price to own a piece of the legendary New York team.
PERRY SAYS NO TO “90210”
While the rest of his former castmates are clamoring for spots on the new version of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” actor Luke Perry says he is over the popular teen series and has no interest in reprising his role.
Perry, who played the always brooding heart-throb Dylan McKay in the long-running series says he has no plans to follow in the footsteps of former castmates Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth, who have both signed up to appear in the new CW spin off series, simply titled “90210.”
The 41-year-old actor, who has enjoyed limited success since leaving the show in 1995, says he’s wishes the show a lot of luck, but doesn’t want to re-live his past by stepping back into a character he has “moved on from.”
