Jesse James gushed about his romance with tattoo artist Kat Von D. She was the one for him. She made him feel like no other woman ever had, was his best friend and the year he split from wife Sandra Bullock was actually the best year of his life because of this “amazing woman.” Von D responded in kind. She said “There is no one else for me. He’s the one.” James claimed Von D was “so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day.” I mean, he declared his for her was “beyond description.”
Well, there is only one word to describe their love affair now and that word is over. I doubt many people are shedding a tear for James, the cad who broke Sandra Bullock’s heart just days after she won her first Academy Award and while they were in the process of adopting a baby boy.
The 42-year-old tattooed bad boy and the 29-year-old tattoo artist became engaged last January and planned for summer wedding near their one year anniversary of dating, but that all ended this week when their announced their breakup. James said “I’m so sad because I really loved her” but claimed the distance between the two was just too much. Von D’s work and reality show is shot in Los Angeles while James lives in Austin, Texas with his three children.
Von D confirmed the split, saying on Twitter that she was no longer with James and said out of respect for him and his family; she wasn’t going to share any more information.
A little while ago, it seemed like rocker Gene Simmons and longtime love Shannon Tweed were heading for a breakup. But this week, the season finale of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” showed Simmons finally proposed to Tweed after 28 years and two children together. Tweed’s answer, of course, was withheld as a cliff hanger until next season.
However, the really confusing part is that the episode was filmed months ago, before the interview last month where Tweed stormed off the set. So did she actually say “yes” and something happened to drive the two even further apart? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
