Perhaps she didn’t want to deal with choosing a glitzy overpriced wedding dress, fancy party favors, or a multi-layered cake. Or maybe she simply didn’t want her daughter to see her living in sin.
Either way when Jessica Alba’s daughter is born next month she will be welcomed home by parents who are… married.
News flash: According to PEOPLE magazine, the actress and her fiancé Cash Warren are now newlyweds. Public records show the couple tied the knot yesterday in an intimate ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse.
How intimate?
According to reports, the judge who performed the ceremony and a couple of courthouse staff members were the only ones who witnessed the pair’s nuptials.
No family members, no friends… just Alba, Warren, and their soon-to-be born love child in a little room under an arch of green silk foliage and white flowers.
PEOPLE magazine reports that the always fashionable Alba wore a long blue dress and had her hair pulled back in a ponytail while Warren donned a white shirt and brown pants.
The 27-year-old actress and her 31-year-old groom reportedly arrived at the courthouse at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, applied for a marriage license and waited about 40 minutes for the paperwork to be processed before they were married.
And you thought Vegas was the place to go for quickie weddings.
Alba and Warren got engaged last December, shortly after she learned she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. No word on whether the pair will renew their vows at a more lavish wedding ceremony once baby Warren arrives.
My guess would be yes. Judging from the interviews I’ve seen with Alba she will have her dream wedding once she settles into motherhood. She’s already admitted that the baby was a surprise and that she found out she was pregnant just a few weeks after she and Warren reconciled after his alleged affair with another woman. And now the couple won’t have to look far for a flower girl.
