J.Lo Finally Announces Pregnancy

FINALLY!

After nearly four months of speculation and confirmation by just about every member of her entourage—-Jennifer Lopez made it official last night–she is pregnant.

Lopez made the announcement in Miami at the very end of her live concert at the AmericanAirlines Arena where tens of thousands of fans had gathered to see the singer and her hubby Marc Anthony perform together in what was later referred to as the last stop in their concert series. Hours earlier Lopez’s rep announced that subsequent concert stops in Puerto Rico and San Diego had been cancelled… and now we know why.

“Marc and I are expecting,” Lopez told the crowd, which instantly erupted in cheers.

A stunned Anthony then bent over and kissed his wife’s belly.

“I didn’t know she was going to talk,” Anthony admitted to the throngs of screaming fans.

The 39-year-old singing sensation then shared why she waited so long to make the announcement. According to Lopez, she waited until the end of the tour to share the news because she didn’t want her fans to worry about her.

Oh puh-leeze.

Lopez’s fans were the very ones acting as insiders for tabloids. They were the ones supplying various entertainment magazines with pics of the pregnant songstress taken with their cellphones. What’s more, they were the ones supplying the quotes and sound bites to various TV stations regarding Lopez’s condition and appearance during the concerts. Not one expressed concern for the pregnant superstar; rather they all noted that they felt it was her overprotective (See: controlling) husband (who already has three children from two previous relationships) that advised Lopez to keep mum on her pregnancy despite the fact that she was clearly showing.

Regardless, it’s out there now and throughout the Miami show, J.Lo joked with the crowd.

“You don’t mind if I catch my breath for a minute,” she said at one point, holding her belly.

But info on pregnancy particulars stopped there. According to concertgoers, Lopez declined to say when the baby is due and refused to comment on rumors that she is carrying twins.

If you read between the lines of Lopez’s designer Roberto Cavalli (who inadvertently confirmed pregnancy rumors last week) the hot mama is pregnant with one child.

Asked what types of clothing he designs for celebrities, Cavalli told PEOPLE magazine: “Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby.”

Before leaving the stage Lopez thanked the crowd and revealed: “We’re going away for a while.”

With paparazzi in tow no doubt.
