The two married in June 2004 and now Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez have two new additions to their family – twins! The actress/singer gave birth to a baby girl and baby boy early Friday morning in Long Island, N.Y. Their little girl (still no names) was born at 12:12 a.m. and she weighed 5 pounds and 7 ounces. Their son quickly followed at 12:23, weighing in at six pounds.
There were months of speculation as to whether Lopez was even pregnant. She finally confirmed it on November 8th, telling a Miami concert crowd. Her father spilled the beans about twins earlier month in an interview on television.
Lopez’s manager Simon Fields told People magazine that “Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled, and over the moon. While Anthony, 39, has three other children from previous relationships, these are Lopez’s first children. Her good friend “King of Queens” star Leah Remini called Lopez a “born mom,” saying she was very nurturing.
There is not so happy news for pop singer Aaron Carter. He was arrested Thursday around noon for marijuana possession. He was in Junction, Texas when he was pulled over for speeding. The officers searched his Cadillac Escalade and found less than 2 ounces of marijuana, but that was enough for an arrest. No one else was in the SUV with Carter. He is scheduled to appear before a magistrate today.
Carter, age 20, is the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. He began his own career at age 7 and has put out seven albums in his young life. He has also made guest appearances on many television shows such as “Lizzie McGuire,” “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” and “7th Heaven.” He and his family starred in the reality show “House of Carters.”
In the past, Carter has made headlines mainly for his romances. He dated Hilary Duff, Brooke Hogan, Lindsay Lohan, and even Paris Hilton. He announced his engagement to Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche in September 2006, but the engagement was quickly called off.
