Tiger Had a Daughter
Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren just welcomed their first child Monday, a daughter named Sam Alexis. Tiger reported that both mom and daughter are doing well and resting. The big news of his daughter’s birth comes less than 24 hours after a second place finish in the U.S. Open (which was won by Angel Cabrera).
The only sad note to the birth is that when Tiger announced the pregnancy late last year, he said, “I have always wanted to be a dad. I just wish my father (Earl, who died in early 2006) could be around to share the experience.” Tiger should not have to worry about the baby being in good hands – Mom Elin is a former nanny!
Lindsay Cancels Birthday Plans
All the tabloids had been speculating as to whether Lindsay Lohan was going to cancel all the big plans scheduled for her 21st birthday. She had a party set up in Las Vegas at the PURE Nightclub, but PURE has just announced that Lindsay has cancelled the party. A PURE representative said, “We support Lindsay and wish her the best as she is taking care of personal matters at this time.”
Could it be that Lindsay’s rehab stint is actually doing some good?
Jeri Ryan Marries
I remember watching “Iron Chef America” on the Food Network when French Chef Christophe Eme took on Iron Chef Morimoto. Of course, he lost, but he had his girlfriend at the time, Jeri Ryan, cheering him on from the audience. Now, looks like she will be cheering him on permanently. “Boston Legal” star Ryan and Chef Eme were married in Eme’s hometown outside of Angers in the Loire Valley this past weekend. The couple co-owns Ortolan in Los Angeles, in which Eme is the executive chef. Ryan has one son, 12-year-old Alex, from a previous marriage (to politician Jack Ryan).
