The Terminator Without Schwarzenegger?
Two entrepreneurs, Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson, have bought the rights to the film franchise “Terminator” and have said they are planning a fourth installment, which will hit the theaters in 2009. Of course, we all know that the original Terminator, former body builder Arnold Schwarzenegger, is currently the governor of California, so it is unlikely he will appear in the upcoming film. So what is a Terminator movie without the Terminator? Kubicek and Anderson have said this film will concentrate on the character John Connor, as he tries to save mankind. The character has been played by two different actors (Edward Furlong in Terminator 2 and Nick Stahl in Terminator 3), so who knows who will play him in the fourth film.
Bruce Willis and Susan Sarandon Join Forces
Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum! Bruce Willis is a Republican and Susan Sarandon is known for her Democratic political beliefs, but the two have come together to help campaign for injured U.S. war veterans. The two are lobbying for better treatment for Iraq war veterans, many of whom are coming home missing legs and arms. Although she does not support the war and did not know Willis, Sarandon said she knew he supported them going to war and would therefore support helping them upon their return. Willis said he visited Walter Reed Army Medical Center and was heartbroken by the lack of help some veterans were getting from the government.
Drew Barrymore Named United Nations Ambassador
Not only did she just land the cover of People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People issue, but now Drew Barrymore has been named as Ambassador Against Hungar for the United Nations World Food Program. Drew has said she cannot think “of any issue that is more important than working to see that no schoolchild in this world goes hungry.” Drew will be in good company as fellow actors Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney are also U.N. ambassadors.
