The next time fans see Julianne Hough waltzing on a ballroom floor her partner might not be one chosen by “Dancing with the Stars” producers. Rather, the guy twirling the blonde beauty around will likely be her new husband.
Hough recently revealed that she has found the man she hopes to waltz down the aisle with—-country crooner Chuck Wicks.
“We definitely want to go there,” Hough tells PEOPLE of the rumor that she and her boyfriend of five months are planning to get hitched by the end of next year. “The minute we met it was perfect. The first date we had we both had that feeling like we were going to fall in love with each other.”
Wicks hasn’t officially proposed to the 20-year-old two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champ; however, he did score an invitation to spend Thanksgiving with the entire Hough clan.
“This was big for me,” Wicks told PEOPLE. “She has the best family I’ve met in the world. They just like to have a good time.”
The 29-year-old singer says he feels right at home with Hough’s family and could see himself fitting in with the clan for years to come.
Meanwhile, execs at NBC are hoping David Gregory will fit in well at his new job.
According to the Huffington Post, Gregory has been offered the job of moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press. Tim Russert hosted the network’s popular political show until his tragic death in June. Since Russert’s passing Tom Brokaw has been serving as interim moderator.
Reports say Gregory was at the top of a short list of candidates, which included fellow NBC reporters Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd. Other possible replacements for Russert included Katie Couric, Gwen Iffil and Ted Koppel.
Brokaw’s last stint with the iconic Sunday morning NBC talk show will air this weekend, when he interviews President-Elect Barack Obama.
