I love our house. I wish we weren’t so far away from everything, but I still love where we live. We have a large property and the potential for a great and kid-friendly yard. Unfortunately, we do not have a fence; we cannot let the toddler go out back to play because out back is too vast and open. Jessie never stays put and wants to go visit the neighbors.
Toddlers need places to play. Toddlers need to run and jump and climb. Toddlers need to be able to be as loud as they want to be. One of my toddler’s favorite places to play and do all of that is the PlayPlace at McDonald’s. Whenever Jessie sees a McDonald’s she starts crying for an apple bag, i.e., a Happy Meal with apples, and to play. I love to take her there so she can play. I know that when Baby E is a little bigger, she’ll be able to enjoy it too.
I have a new favorite place to take the toddler to play. We’ve gone to two birthday parties there this month and these little children have the best time. The place is called Jump N Land; it’s indoor bounce houses. The places we usually play that have indoor structures have structures that are usually colorful acrylic and are good for climbing and sliding. These are good structures and good places to play. I am absolutely in love with the indoor bounce house, though. There is a private party room and a general play room with bounce structures. We’ve been in both. Not only are there bounce houses, but there is an enormous slide the children scale the side of and then go bouncing to the bottom. There’s also a room with video games, but Jessie wants to play.
