I bought my first fax machine back in the early 80s when I worked for Panasonic. They were so expensive back then (and it sure wasn’t due to the low commissions for the sales guys!). They were also clunky and not very user friendly. I remember always checking to see if there was a watermark on the faxed paper, because you were never really sure whether it went through or not.
Oh, what a long way we’ve come! A fax machine is no longer a luxury, but a necessity if you have any kind of home business going on. Yes, you could use one of the electronic faxes, but they take more time and you still have to print the stuff out. Plus, sending via them means scanning first, then transmitting the image. Having a fax is just so much easier. And right now, it can be inexpensive.
Staples has the Sharp UX-P115 Plain-Paper Fax for $69.98. Not much of a deal, although it would still be worth it at that price. What makes it a dynamite deal is the rebate. There’s a $55 Easy Rebate for this week only. It expires on the 27th. We do Staples Easy Rebates all the time. They come quickly, and they actually come. Not every company can say that. They really are easy. With the Easy Rebate, you submit it online – just after purchase. There’s no losing receipts, or forgetting to send it in within the allotted time.
A short while ago, we bought the Brother Personal fax. After rebate, it was free. Sometimes you get what you pay for. It does the job, but doesn’t always do it the first time. It’s very particular; or maybe it’s just mine. In either case, I’ve already ordered the Sharp, and the Brother will get gifted to a dear (cashless) friend who won’t mind having to do it two or three times.
Faxes are really easy to install. Not only are they great to have for your business, but if the grandparents have one, the kids can fax over artwork. Get yours now before the rebate runs out.
