Justin Timberlake Wants To Sing WITH You and Joey Fatone Wants To Dance FOR You

Justin Timberlake wants you to sing with him at the Grammys. No, not from the audience, the 25-year-old former ‘N Sync band member is looking for a legitimate singing partner to perform with on stage at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.

It’s no joke. The Recording Academy, together with CBS, and Yahoo is holding a contest to find an unsigned artist to perform with the “SexyBack” singer at the Grammy Awards, to air live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 11th.

So where do you sign up to perform with Timberlake? (By the way did you catch him on “Saturday Night Live” a couple of night’s ago—FUNNY!) All you need to do is submit a 60-second video clip of yourself singing one of nine Grammy award-winning songs he has selected.

The songs included on the list are: Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You,” Luther Vandross'”Dance With My Father,” Melissa Etheridge’s “Come to My Window,” Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River,” Faith Hill’s “Breathe,” Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love.”

A panel of judges will select 12 finalists from the entries and then much like “American Idol,” members of the public will be able to vote online to narrow the field to five, then three. The three finalists will be announced during Super Bowl weekend, and all three will attend the Grammy Awards ceremony. During the show, the winner will be announced and jump on stage to sing with Timberlake.

A good friend of Timberlake’s is also making news today. Libby mentioned earlier that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, said she’s hoping to be a contestant on ABC’s smash hit “Dancing with the Stars,” now former ‘N Sync-er Joey Fatone is hoping the network will add his name to the list of actors, pop singers and athletes ready to bust a move for the show’s new season too.

Fatone told a Florida radio station Friday that he’s ready to compete on the reality show. According to Fatone, producers had asked him to appear on prior seasons but he “turned it down” three times. However now that the show is a runaway hit he says he’s changed his mind.

A representative for ABC announced last week that the roster of celebrity dancers for the fourth season would be announced at a later date.
