Apparently, Kate Moss has parted ways with her rock and roller boyfriend and has also decided to part ways with the rock and roll lifestyle (eating whatever, whenever and sleeping every other week or so).
She says she’s on a diet now. She’s calling it the Vibrancy Diet. For all my research, I couldn’t find any such diet so my guess is she chose to call it the Vibrancy Diet instead of the I-ditched-my-loser-lover-and-need-to-get-back-in-shape-or-nobody-else-will-have-me-because-I-look-like-crap Diet.
So, instead of last night’s left over pizza and champagne cocktails for breakfast, she is opting for yogurt, fruit and toast. (Not bad choices for anyone.)
She eats lunch now and goes for grilled fish or chicken with vegetables. (Low in starch, high in protein and fiber and not likely to cause the mid afternoon sleepies.) There is no mention of dinner except for the fact that she does eat it. My guess is that it is very much like lunch.
So, certainly one would begin feeling quite vibrant by eating such healthy foods. Of course, Kate Moss needs something to do with the rest of her day so she uses relaxation and meditation techniques and exfoliates with boiled milk. (Hey, if you’ve got nothing better to do, right?)
So, honestly, how could one possibly not feel vibrant and glowing when they are eating good foods, sleeping regularly, relaxing, meditating and just taking all around good care of themselves?
To be honest, I don’t think this is a real diet at all. I think it is right up there with Liz Hurley’s I-just-had-a-baby-so-I’m-moving-in-to-Sir-Elton’s-so-his-staff-can-pamper-feed-and-train-me-so-I-can-be-drop-dead-gorgeous-again Diet.
So what do you do if you aren’t Kate Moss or Elizabeth Hurley?
A breakfast of yogurt, toast and fruit is fairly simple to throw together.
Grilled chicken and fish with vegetables for lunch and dinner is also doable. Just swing by McDonald’s for a grilled chicken Caesar salad for lunch and start feeding your family off the George Foreman grill in the evening. Grilled chicken and fish are quick and easy on the Foreman and a salad or a bag of frozen veggies can be prepared in just minutes. For the carb eaters in the family, toss together a quick pasta side dish or some baked potatoes and you’re golden!
As for relaxation, meditation and exfoliation you may have to do what I do: take a shower after the kids have gone to bed and scrub quickly with a loofah and whatever body wash you have on hand. Don’t bother boiling the milk, just drink it before bed because your day is going to start again altogether too soon!
