I have a problem, I covet appliances. I don’t actually cook but I do love appliances. The appliance that gets used most in my house is my coffee maker. I’m an all day coffee drinker. Everyone always asks how I sleep but I sleep like a rock, caffeine doesn’t seem to affect me like that.
Anyway I was at a friend’s house and she had the coolest coffee maker, a Keurig, one delicious cup at a time, and in only two minutes. I had to have one, because, as I’ve said, I covet appliances.
The price of the Keurig was a little off putting, there are several sizes and they are all over $100. I started a little savings fund and was finally able to get myself one. First let me say, this thing is wonderful. Being an all day coffee drinker means I want coffee all day long. When I get home from work I want a cup of coffee, not a pot, just one cup. The Keurig is great for that. When someone stops over I can quickly offer them a cup of coffee without having to make a whole pot.
The Keurig will make three different sizes of coffee so you can make an espresso and make yourself a fancy coffee drink without leaving the house or spending five bucks. I love that there are so many flavors of coffee available, as well as teas and hot chocolate. Hailey’s favorite is a Chai latte, my favorite is butter toffee. When I first bought my Keurig it was hard to find a good selection of coffee but now all the grocery stores carry a fair selection.
Another great thing about a Keurig is that you get the same cup of coffee every time. With a regular coffee maker my coffee is always different, sometimes too strong, and sometimes too weak, that is not a problem with a Keurig, it’s the same strength every time.
If you are a coffee or a tea drinker you will love having a Keurig, and will find that it is worth every penny you spent.
