Kevin and Britney… Get Ready To RUMBLE!

Get ready for round two (or is it three or four—I’ve lost count) in the custody battle over ex-Fed’s Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s two young sons.

It seems the pop princess’ recent finger-lickin’ (then wiping) chicken grease episode has prompted Federline to speed dial his attorney and request full custody of the couple’s sons, 1-year-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James.

According to OK! Magazine, which was first to report Brit’s latest meltdown, Federline is “taking legal steps to seek sole custody of the boys.”

Now here’s where it gets interesting. According to the magazine, Federline is getting help in his custody fight from an unlikely source… two of Spears’ family members. First, Brit’s cousin and former conjoined twin (I mean assistant), Alli Sims. Sources tell OK! that she is reportedly trying to help K-Fed win custody of Sean Preston and Jayden.

“Alli gave specific instances where Brit couldn’t handle having the kids. Kevin was angry with Britney for putting his kids in jeopardy and immediately phoned his lawyer to investigate the claims further. He couldn’t believe she had gotten so out of control,” a source told OK!

But, Sims is not the only relative of Spears’ who reportedly wants the kids out of the pop star’s care. Britney’s own mother, Lynne Spears, has also been outed in several media outlets for reaching out to Kevin and offering detailed information about her disheveled daughter’s ongoing erratic behavior.

“Kevin is worried about Sean and Jayden’s safety. He had heard bits and pieces of what was going on from Brit’s mother, Lynne [Spears] and from the bodyguards but has been trying to focus on getting along with her and didn’t want to believe she had completely lost it,” a source close to Federline reportedly told the magazine.

OK! reporters say K-Fed has his legal team working on redrafting the divorce settlement as you read this. Currently, the couple shares joint custody (an equal 50/50 split) of their sons, but both sides appear ready to amend that agreement. The only problem: each now wants the other parent completely eliminated from the mix.

Oh, those poor boys.
