Kid Stuff at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

The folks at Disney would never dream of planning a flower and garden festival without planning some fun and magic for the children who will be dragged along by their perennial loving parents! The following activities have been planned for family fun that includes both adults and children. Be sure to check them out if you go to the festival this year.

Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden

Hundreds of free-flying butterflies are sure to entertain and amaze as you walk through the butterfly house and garden.

Peter Pan’s Neverland Garden

This garden is new this year. This is a great topiary garden featuring children’s favorite characters from Peter Pan.

Garden Town Kid Fun Fair

New this year, this fun fair is an interactive area for children and adults alike. There will be gardening demonstrations and some of America’s most popular gardeners will be special guests.

Pluto’s Play Zone featuring Evos Playsystem

This is a climbing system loaded with magical nooks and crannies for adventurous kids to find and explore. This promises to be a great active adventure for young ones who are inclined to get restless.

Ladybug Release

Every day at 1 pm and 3 pm, children will help to release bunches upon bunches of these wonderful, colorful bugs that actually help to keep plants healthy! If your kids think that one ladybug is fun, they’ll be thrilled with hundreds!

Whether you are a professional gardener, an avid gardening enthusiast or somebody with a black thumb that wants desperately to stop killing their houseplants, Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival will have something for you. The great news is that you don’t have to feel bad about bringing your kids along because there is so much for them to do that they are sure to love it! Who knows, you may even go home and plant a garden together!
