Kid’s Choice Awards 2012

One thing is always true about Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards – you know someone is going to get slimed before the night is over.

This year, Will Smith, the show’s host, promised that “no one was safe from the slime” – even if you are a beautiful Academy Award winning actresses.

At the 2012 Kid’s Choice awards, Halle Berry was the first one to get slimed. Fortunately for all of us, she is just as beautiful in green slime as ever.

Another that got slimed in the 25th year of the awards was “Glee” favorite Christ Colfer. He got it in the faced while presenting with Heidi Klum. He was dumped on by an award’s blimp flying overhead. Taylor Lautner won an award for Best Buttkicker, but he too got slime. Another young heartthrob that got slimed was Justin Bieber. He won Favorite Singer, but still got slimed along with Will Smith at the end of the show. The First Lady and First Daughters just barely escaped getting slimed.

Bieber’s real life girlfriend Selena Gomez won Favorite TV Actress, but she didn’t get slimed. Favorite TV Actor went to Jack Short while Favorite Movie Actor went to Adam Sandler.

As you might imagine, newly named New York Jet Tim Tebow won Favorite Athlete while race car driver Danica Patrick won Favorite Female Athlete. Big Time Rush was Favorite Music Group and “Wipeout” was the Favorite Reality Show. Kristen Stewart won Favorite Movie Actress and Katy Perry won Favorite Animated Movie Voice for “The Smurfs.”

One of my favorites, Puss in Boots won Favorite Animated Movie while Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked won Favorite Movie. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” won Favorite Book, beating out “The Hunger Games,” “Harry Potter,” and “Twilight.”

And my son will be happy to know that his favorite song “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO won Favorite Song.
