For a clean, bacteria-free kitchen without a lot of work, use the following tips. They will ensure that you have a safe, easy to maintain clean in one of the most important rooms of the house.
Get them while you can
Clean up little messes as they are made. It doesn’t take much more effort to put dishes into the dishwasher as it does to put dishes in the sink. If something spills, wipe it up right away. This will ensure that you don’t have sticky messes or overwhelming dishes that are much harder to deal with later.
Clean in a circle
Since the stove tend to be one of the dirtiest parts of the kitchen (other than the sink if you have dishes piled in it), experts recommend that you use the right side of the sink as a starting place when cleaning the kitchen so you don’t spread extra dirt and grease from the sponge to other places in the kitchen. Circle around the room until you get back to the stove.
Sink tips
The sink can be a hotbed of bacteria, from the basin itself to around the faucets. Use a little bleach in the water to clean your sink. When you are done, rub some mineral oil on your stainless steel sink. It will make the sink shine and discourage water build up and mold.
And here is a tip to make your faucets shine. Spray some Windex or other window cleaner and wipe. Make sure not to mix any bleach and window cleaner though because it can release toxic fumes. Rinse the sink throughly of bleach before you apply any ammonia-based products.
Disposal love
If you have a kitchen garbage disposal, you can make it clean and sweet smelling with very little effort. Cut up a lemon and add it to the disposal, along with some ice cubes and some salt. Run the disposal, and let these ingredients work to clean the disposal for you.
