Recently Valerie Bertinelli was shown on a magazine cover sporting a bikini and she looks fantastic! Two years ago Valerie weighed 172 pounds. She is 5’4” and was 40 pounds heavier than what she felt was ideal for her. Valerie owes this weight loss to hard work through exercising and dieting. She used the Jenny Craig method and lost the weight. She got down to her goal of 132 pounds. To get fit she walked 10,000 steps every day. She then hired a personal trainer to help her get in shape for a bikini, which she had not worn in almost 30 years.
A Jenny Craig spokeswoman, Valerie was almost 49 years old at that time and felt very intimidated and insecure. She was so nervous about this at first that she could not even sleep. She decided to give it her best shot and increased her exercise routine. She cut her caloric intake down to 1,200 calories a day and started running just a few weeks before her big bikini debut. Valerie admits that feels better than she ever has. To see her talk about her weight loss is wonderful. She is so excited and animated to think that she did this that it is encouraging to others. Valerie is one of those television personalities that has always been so “real” and down to earth that you just cannot help but feel good about her and for her.
