Be watching Univision this fall for a mini-series produced by Jennifer Lopez, about Jennifer Lopez with a Jennifer Lopez soundtrack. The mini-series is entitled “Como Ama una Mujer” (How a Woman Loves), yes, the same title of her recent album.
The five part mini-series will star actress Leonor Varela as Jennifer Lopez and play out Mrs. Anthony’s romantic history prior to Marc’s entrance in her life as her knight in shining armor. At the end of each episode, we viewers will have the special treat of seeing Jennifer Lopez sing the song from her album that inspired that particular episode.
While the album and mini-series could very well be cathartic tools for J. Lo to put that period of her life behind her as she moves on with her new husband and quite possibly into the realm of motherhood, it could also just be a great new promotional tool. While J Lo has never been accused of being brilliant at self-promotion, we must admit that she has tried. By promoting an album with a similarly entitled mini-series to be aired on a television station that caters to an audiences addicted to telenovellas (those melodramatic, Spanish language soap operas that are just as addictive to women as Diet Coke), Mrs. Anthony may have finally hit a winning combination.
