In case you were too busy this week to join us in LDS, here is a summary so you can get caught up.
We began the week with a continuation of the Scripture Study Series, 1 Nephi 16:1-6. Tristi reminds us that her thoughts as she reads the scriptures aren’t meant to be the definitive answer, but rather, a jumping-off point for our own thoughts and our own personal revelation.
Miriam reminds us to “Focus on the Scriptures with Your Family.” She loved reading Old Testament stories as a child, and now shares scriptures with her own young ones. She also keeps us up to date with our lessons in “Dinner Discussions.”
“Special Experiences” is a review of an address delivered by Elder Ronald A. Rasband about the experiences we have that, like building blocks, create our testimonies. They don’t often come in big chunks, but rather, in small pieces that we stack together.
If you’re thinking about serving a senior mission, you will want to read, “Who Will Take Care of Your House?” We also look at Gospel Doctrine class in “O, How Great the Goodness of Our God.”
“Taking Out the Trash” reminds us that we don’t have to cling to old habits, sins or resentments—we can get rid of them, just like cleaning our houses. And as we learn to serve in a truly Christ-like way, we’ll find more joy in doing it, in “Is My Service Focused on God, or On Me?”
We ended the week with a look at a new website set up by the Church to help members with disabilities get the most out of the programs and activities the Church offers.
We hope you enjoyed our look back at the week and that you’ll be able to join us here again here in LDS.
