Did you have a good week? We did here in LDS! If you didn’t have a chance to stop by, here’s your week in review so you can see what we’ve been up to.
We started the week with “When Loved Ones Apostatize.” We’re counseled not to sympathize with apostate groups, but that doesn’t mean we have to turn our backs on family members or good friends who have chosen to leave the Church.
In “Living a Life without Regret,” we talked about the importance of our daily decisions and how we can choose according to our consciences so we don’t regret the things we’ve done.
“I Can Sleep When the Wind Blows” recounts a popular sacrament meeting anecdote (Tristi’s very least favorite) and emphasizes the importance of preparation.
We continue the Ten Commandments Series with a look at the second commandment and the importance of refraining from idolatry. We also continue the Scripture Study Series with 1 Nephi 16:7-10.
“Do Mormons Worship Joseph Smith?” replies with a resounding no, we do not. We honor and respect him, we appreciate what he did for us, but we worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In our Latter-day Hymns series, we take a closer look at “Israel, Israel, God is Calling.”
Do you live near a church cannery? If so, you can use this to your advantage in your food storage. In “Visit Your Home Storage Center,” Miriam encourages us to volunteer to serve at the cannery and then purchase goods to add to our supplies.
We ended the week with “Your Ward is a Support System.” Often, we don’t have family close by, but we can rely on our church friends to be there when we need them.
We hope you’ll be able to join us again soon here in LDS.
