Welcome to our Week in Review! If you didn’t have the chance to join us every day here in LDS, here’s your opportunity to get caught up.
We started off the week with “Dinner Discussions,” which helps keep us on track with our lessons. Then we had a review of Dallin H. Oaks’ conference talk on “Testimony.”
Is your teen trying to decide whether or not to add seminary to his schedule? “Choose to Attend Seminary” will help him see that the blessings will be great if he’ll take that extra time to study the gospel more deeply.
We continued the “Articles of Faith” series with a look at the fourth article, and we investigated the “Top Ten Signs Your Daughter is Going to Girls’ Camp.” We also learned about the July 2008 Sharing Time Theme, “Because I know we are all children of God, I will share the gospel with others.”
“Being Strong in Faith” recounts Sister Julie B. Beck’s conference address in which she encourages us to be strong and immoveable in three different areas, one of them being faith.
Do you remember the old musical “My Turn on Earth?” Now you can own the original stage production on DVD.
“Ward and Family” reminds us how much we are blessed to have extended family in the form of ward members, and “Divine Nature Activities” provides ideas for Young Women leaders to help the girls understand this important value.
Miriam reminds us of the power of “Reviewing Your Patriarchal Blessing” to keep the words fresh in our minds, and she also shared some of her insights into “Dealing with Discouragement” as she talks about coping with her child’s temper tantrums.
“Do You Know Who You Are?” summarizes the talk given by Dean R. Burgiss to the young men of the Church, and “Have You Thought of Fasting?” reminds us that fasting is a powerful way to aid us as we seek answers to questions in our lives.
As teachers, we need to remember to “Focus on the Doctrine” as we teach our lessons, whether at home or at church. “What to Tell Children about Divorce” addresses some of those difficult questions that will come up when parents decide to go their separate ways.
We continue the Scripture Study series with 1 Nephi 17:12-15 and 1 Nephi 17:16-20. We also are caught up to date with our July Preparedness Goals.
“Spirituality” offers the suggestion that we can increase our spirituality in one area at a time, as it can be daunting to take it all on at once. We are also given ideas for a family home evening about “Working Together as a Family.”
It’s time to get out in the garden! “Reasons to Garden” reminds us of the blessings that come from keeping this counsel of our prophet.
We ended the week with “Embracing Joy,” a beautiful look into the ways we can find joy even while surrounded by challenges.
We hope you enjoyed this look back at the week, and hope to see you soon here in LDS.
