Welcome to our Week in Review. If you’ve been busy and haven’t had the chance to join us daily here in LDS, here’s your chance to get caught up.
We started out the week with a humorous look at what blogging can do to you in “You Know You’re a Blogger When. . .” Yes, there are definitely signs that you’re hooked!
We then had an interview with J. Adams, author of “The Journey,” a fantasy novel written for young women to help them understand their own value and the importance of the choices they make in this life and how those choices will either aid them or detract them from returning to Heavenly Father.
We all know that the Spirit brings love into our hearts. In “The Spirit Makes Me Love Him More,” Tristi discusses how having the Spirit can improve marital relationships and make our spouses seem more dear to us. She also encourages us not to rate our sins but to work on them all as being equally important in “How Big Are Your Sins?”
“Prayer and Personal Revelation” talks about lesson #10 in our Joseph Smith manual for this year’s course of study, and we read about the importance of learning how to “Teach by the Spirit.”
In “But I Don’t Have Visions,” we learn a little more about personal revelation and how it doesn’t mean that we’ll necessarily hear voices or have visions.
Miriam shared with us some ways to get more excited about writing in our journals in “Tips for the Reluctant Journal Writer.” She also reminded us of the extreme importance of getting in a supply of food in “Reasons to Store Food.”
Sometimes it’s hard to let hurt feelings go, but “Rehashing Offenses” reminds us that we must stop thinking about our painful experiences if we want to move on. And by taking it a day at a time, recognizing our weaknesses and working on them, we can “Change Our Lifestyle” to become more in accordance with the Word of Wisdom.
Don’t let your marriage become stagnant – do little things, and big things, to “Show Love for Each Other.” “Family Home Evening: Personal Application of Gospel Principles” gives us ideas for taking the things we are taught and applying them to our everyday experiences, making them real to us.
Did you know that the Church’s museum of art has a children’s section? What a fun way to spend the afternoon with your family.
We ended the week with “Church Callings: Music Callings.” Music brings such a good spirit into our meetings, and as you fulfill this calling, you will be aiding that spirit to reside.
We hope you enjoyed this look back at the week, and that you’ll be able to join us again soon here in LDS.
