LDS Week in Review – May 26th-31st

We had a great week here in LDS. Here’s your weekly summary, just in case you need a chance to catch up.

We started off with our “Dinner Discussions,” which helps us stay on track with our lessons throughout the week. Then Miriam talked about “Focusing on Modesty.” Now that summer is near and the weather is warm, the temptation exists to dress in more revealing clothing, and it’s more important than ever to make sure that we all understand the importance of respecting our bodies.

In Memoriam: Religious Martyrs” reminds us of all those who have died to bring us the truthfulness of the gospel and the importance of the message they left with us. We also continued the Scripture Study series with 1 Nephi 16:37-39.

Tristi talks about her relationship with her husband in “My Husband’s Good Example.” He always forgives her little fits and tantrums, and together they work on a goal of an eternal family. In “Preparedness and Finances,” we are reminded how important it is to get our finances under control as we think about preparing for the future.

Sometimes it’s hard to get up on Sunday morning and get everyone out the door, but it’s important to “Choose to Attend Church.” The blessings far outweigh the hassle. “Reaching Out to Others” may take us out of our comfort zones, but can bless our lives immensely as well. And remember all the times someone reached out to us and made us feel included!

We finished up the week with “Finding Joy in Parenthood.” Being a parent is a huge responsibility and one that tests us every day, but it is a job given to us by God and we can find great joy in raising our families.

Thanks for joining us for this week’s summary, and we hope to see you again soon here in LDS!
