Lesson Schedule for 2007

If you have been wondering what topics you will be learning in Sunday school. The lesson manuals are the same through out the church. This is a great blessing because it allows us to all receive the same messages each week.

The Nursery and Sunbeam 4 class will use the same manual that they always do. The manual is specially designed to meet the unique needs of the younger learners. The children in Junior Primary or CTR 5, 6, 7 or 8 will learn from the manual “Primary 3: Choose the Right B.” The children in Senior Primary or Valiant 9, 10, 11 or 12 will be using “Primary 7: The New Testament.”

If you are teaching the young women the lesson manual is “Young Women 2.” You can also find an online guide of conference talks associated with each lesson by visiting the church’s site and going to the Young Women’s Curriculum page. You can also find the information listed in the conference issues of “The Ensign.” If you are teaching the Young Men or Aaronic Priesthood classes the manual is “Aaronic Priesthood 2.” You can also find additional resources for these lessons by visiting the website or referring to the conference editions of “The Ensign.”

The twelve and thirteen year old Sunday school lessons will be from “The Presidents of the Church Teacher’s Manual.” The Sunday school lessons for all members over the age of fourteen will be from the New Testament. You should receive a study guide to accompany the lessons sometime in the next two weeks. It is a great help to the teachers if you read the study guide beforehand.

The Relief Society and Priesthood lessons will be based on the teachings of Spencer W. Kimball. You should receive the new manual in the next few weeks. The lessons for the first, fourth and fifth Sundays are determined by your ward or stake leaders. If you can read ahead this will help your teachers as well.
