Lime Sherbet
Remember sherbet? Go back to your youth!
INGREDIENTS:
4 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups lime juice
3 tbs lemon juice
1 1/2 cups 1% milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 drop green food coloring optional
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a bowl, combine sugar, lime juice, and lemon juice until well blended.
2. Gradually stir in milk, buttermilk, and food coloring if desired; mix well.
3. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to machine directions.
