Well, she didn’t serve her entire term in jail (14 days out of 90) and now Lindsay Lohan has left rehab before serving all of her court ordered time. After Lohan left jail, she was immediately taken to an inpatient rehab facility where she was supposed to serve 90 days. However, she was released Tuesday after only 23 days. Because surely that is enough for Lohan – NOT! But, the rehab staff at the facility thought so and the judge bought it.
I am sure Lohan is glad to be out of jail and rehab, but do any of us honestly think she learned her lesson? Lohan is still required to participate in an outpatient treatment program, but that is sort of what landed her in jail to begin with when she missed too many court ordered alcohol education classes. I hate to be cynical, but does anyone want to bet how long it is before Lohan is back in the news for missing outpatient rehab?
While Lohan was escaping her rehab, Miley Cyrus was escaping something else – a relationship. The 17-year-old had been seeing The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth for a year. Am I too old fashioned in thinking a 17-year-old shouldn’t be in a serious relationship anyhow? According to some reports, Hensworth spent some nights at Cyrus’ little $3.4 million dollar home.
Cyrus had been denying the split for a while now. Cyrus told PEOPLE in April “I’m not really a big lovey person. I’m not, like, mushy. [But] Liam was the first person that made me want to be in a real relationship.” Then she posted on her web site that the couple were “so happy.”
Hemsworth seemed on board, saying their relationship was “pretty serious.” He said he admired Cyrus for her “big heart” and being so “open.”
However, the hunky Australian actors’ rep confirmed this week that the relationship was over. Do you think it was all for movie publicity?
