Lindsay Lohan Gets 90 Days in Jail

Things just keep getting worse for Lindsay Lohan. Those that were hoping to see her make a recovery a la Britney Spears are going to have to wait a bit longer.

Lohan was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail Tuesday because she missed alcohol counseling sessions, which was a violation of her probation. In case you missed it, in addition to the alcohol counseling sessions, Lohan was sentenced to wear a SCRAM bracelet after her 2007 DUI conviction. On June 7th, the SCRAM bracelet went off, but Lohan reportedly have a zero reading four hours later.

Lohan told the court “I did do everything that I was told to do and did the best I could.” However, the counseling program Director Cheryl Marshall said that Lohan would call with “creative excuses” to miss counseling sessions. Apparently Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel was not impressed by Lohan’s excuses or tears as she gave them. In addition to the 90 days in jail, once that is complete, Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in a drug and alcohol rehab program.

It’s not like Lohan hadn’t been warned. She was told in December that she must attend the classes or face jail time. Still, will Lohan actually serve any time? I think of Nicole Richie’s 82 minutes served for her 2006 DUI. Maybe Lohan can share a cell with Chris Klein, who was also recently arrested for DUI.

Could it be that Michael Lohan is actually a responsible parent now? He appeared in court but was not allowed to speak. He has been asking the court to order Lohan into rehab.

While Lohan sobbed as she had done all she could, she might have anticipated things wouldn’t go her way because she had a little message for the judge. As she wiped her eyes, photos were taken of her nails, which spelled out an explicative apparently directed to the court.

Some feel this might land a little more jail time for Lohan and frankly, after seeing the pics, I don’t feel sorry for her in the least. This kid needs something to get her life cleaned up. I am not sure if she’s reach the Robert Downey Jr. rock bottom yet, but if not, she’s certainly headed in that direction.
