My husband and I have assembled many things over the years. Few of them are fun to put together, but we’re used to doing it. We are usually pretty good at it and end up with a sturdy product.
My daughter loves the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. No matter where she is, if there’s a Cozy Coupe nearby, she has to be driving it, so it was only natural that we would add one to her arsenal of toys.
In honor of the Cozy Coupe’s 30th anniversary a number of Coupe models have been restyled and reissued. The Princess Cozy Coupe was too cute to pass up. It’s adorably pink with a blue roof and eyes to watch where she’s going. It even has cup holders.
I opened the box and surveyed the assembly instructions. There were no words to guide, only pictures. I was not feeling very good about this. Then, I thought it will be okay, I can do this. I need a screwdriver and a hammer. What happened to the hammer? I guess the meat tenderizer will work.
I was able to get the wheels attached to the body. The next step required screwing through the plastic where there are no pre-drilled holes. I decided that was too much and let my husband take over. At least I had enough done for Jessie to play with.
Chris got the door on, the supports attached, and roof on top. But then he hit a snag: a piece was broken. This is where our history of assembling things should have come in handy. Always check the pieces before starting. I had to call Little Tikes and request a replacement part. The representative was very kind and helpful. The piece even arrived quickly.
We still need to finish assembling the car, but Jessie is having the best time with it regardless.
