If you have ever dreamed of living large like the ladies from “Sex and the City” you are in luck… if you have a spare $24,000 to blow.
A New York travel company is giving fashionistas the chance to indulge in their inner Carrie Bradshaw’s via a unique package deal.
For a mere $24,000 you can live like the stars of the former HBO hit show for five days. The deal includes airfare to Manhattan, hotel accomodations, and all ground transportation. You will also be whisked around the Big Apple on shopping sprees and taken to the nightclubs that inspired the show.
The travel package coincides with the upcoming “Sex and the City” movie, which debuts next month and includes tickets to the film’s New York premiere.
No word if your 20 grand plus will get you within shouting distance of the movie’s stars.
I doubt they’d want to drop a single dime on the “Sex and the City” travel package, but if anyone in the world could spare the $24,000 it would be Irish rockers U2.
The band is following in Madonna’s footsteps by signing a 12-year deal with music promoters Live Nation. The agreement is reportedly worth in excess of $100 million.
U2’s frontman Bono told reporters the agreement, which some say has been in the works for a while now, will see the band continue to release records through their longtime record label Universal Music, but Live Nation, which has been handling U2’s tours since 1980, will take over the group’s merchandising as well as digital and branding rights.
During the official announcement Bono joked that the band and Live Nation have “been dating for over 20 years now. It’s about time we tied the knot.”
Madonna was the first major artist to strike a deal with Live Nation in 2007. The Material Girl made headlines when she signed a ground-breaking recording and touring contract with the company, which was rumored to be worth more than $120 million over 10 years.
