If you are married to a dreamer it can have advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages are that if your marriage partner is a dreamer, then one of you is going to have to take care of the practical everyday things that need to be done. The term dreamer can often apply to the creative type who has half their mind on the next piece of music they’re composing, picture they’re painting, story they’re writing or invention. Sometimes that creative world can become so real they forget about the real world and about maintaining relationships and spending adequate time with their spouse.
But there’s another type of dreamer. The dreamer who’s always planning to do big things and has a million and one plans but ever actually carries though with any of them. They can get caught up in chasing the dream and invest money trying to make it happen that should be spent on something else like family and food and other necessities. If this is your spouse you will need to keep a sharp eye on what is happening with finances and make sure the essentials are taken care of. Dreamers can also be a likely target of the unscrupulous and fall prey to those cooking up a scam.
The advantage of living with a dreamer is that they will think outside the square. As a result they may come up with ideas that the practical minded would not think of. That can be exciting and fun and keep life interesting. A lot of the world’s great inventions and work of art have been produced by dreamers, who are not afraid to let their mind roam over various schemes and possibilities and find new ways of doing things. The world would be a poorer place with the dreamer.
It can also be challenging. But a lot of the time it’s because they are a dreamer is part of their charm and you wouldn’t really want them any other way.
