Lohan’s Divorce Finalized, Winehouse Postpones Tour, and Uncle Kracker Arrested

Lohan’s Divorce Finalized

Thankfully, for the sake of their children at least, the Lohans have finally settled their long drawn out divorce and custody dispute. Aside from Lindsay and her 19-year-old brother Michael, they also have 13-year-old Alaina and 10-year-old Dakota.

The Lohans were about to settle on an agreement in 2005, but that fell through when Michael was sent to prison for drunk driving. Despite all the fighting and arguing over the years, state Supreme Court Justice Robert A. Ross told Michael and Dina Lohan “You have both demonstrated to me extraordinarily good judgment in resolving this matter as you did.” The terms of the divorce will be official in 60 days.

Winehouse Postpones Tour

Newlywed Amy Winehouse postponed her tour “until further notice in order to address her health issues” according to a statement issued on her web page. She made this statement on her web page, but didn’t say what the health issues were, however the media in Britain are reporting that she was hospitalized last week for severe exhaustion.

Winehouse has been criticized for her song “Rehab” in which the lyrics read, “They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no.” Now singer Kanye West is reportedly having said, “I love Amy Winehouse. But she needs to stop the drugs. Should she go to rehab? Yes, yes, yes.”

Uncle Kracker Arrested

Uncle Kracker has been arrested in North Carolina on charges of second-degree sexual assault. An unnamed 26-year-old woman said the musician committed a sexual act against her in a downtown nightclub in Raleigh. Kracker, whose real name is Matthew Shafer, was detained then taken to Wake County Jail. He was finally released on a $75,000 bond early this morning.

Uncle Kracker first came to prominence as a DJ for Kid Rock, but since then has had several hits, including the #1 country duet hit “When the Sun Goes Down” with Kenny Chesney.
