Look Who’s Designing Now

I guess she needed some way to pass the time now that her days cavorting with Jude Law are over

Yes, it seems actress Sienna Miller has another day job—-fashion designer. Miller (along with her sister Savannah) has created a clothing line, which is being sold at upscale Bergdorf Goodman. Twenty8Twelve by s. miller is not just for waif-like body types, according to the willowy star. Miller says the collection caters to a variety of body types. She says the line is made up of “fashionable clothes for all different sorts of confident women.” Count her sister Savannah among the most confident models of the collection. Sienna’s older and taller sibling says working on the collection with her famous sister has been “a real treat.” As for what the sisters have put together—think clingy dresses and wide-leg pants in comfortable fabrics.

If you can’t afford the prices at Bergdorf Goodman (join the club) then you might consider heading to a place where you can get more for paying less. That’s right… good ol’ Payless Shoes. The store has just unveiled a new line of high fashion heels by renowned clothing designer Lela Rose. The Texas native becomes the second guest designer in Payless history to introduce a new line at the retail chain. Rose’s collection includes five shoe styles and a handbag. The new line pairs tweed materials with patent accents for Rose’s “classic with a twist” trademark style. In stores now: two pump styles, a flat, a T-strap sandal, and an ankle-boot, from $25 to $40. With prices like that you might have enough money left over for a coordinating handbag.

Speaking of shoes… Here’s a good reason not to feel guilty about giving into your shoe fetish. Right now for every pair of TOMS shoes you buy, a pair will go to a child who can’t afford shoes in Argentina, Ethiopia, and South Africa. The charity is the brainchild of former Amazing Race II finalist Blake Mycoskie who developed the concept for TOMS following a trip to Argentina during the show. Mycoskie says he was awestruck by the poverty-stricken children in villages who couldn’t attend school because they didn’t have footwear. TOMS Shoes has already gave 50,000 children in Argentina shoes last year, and will give another 50,000 shoes to South African children in November. The shoes start at $38 a pair and are popular among A-list celebrities such as Scarlett Johannson, Sienna Miller, and Karl Lagerfeld. You can get yours by clicking here.
