Hello, my name is Andrea and I am looking for my waist. Have you seen it?
I am a homeschool blogger for families.com and will be doing some guest blogging in weight loss. I am 38 ½ years old, and hope to drop 100 pounds by the time I turn 40. I also hope to walk a marathon on or near my 40th birthday as well.
I want to thank Cathy, the senior blogger in weight loss, for so being gracious in giving me free reign to “reveal my truths”. She says that writing in this blog will offer me “feedback and camaraderie” that will surely benefit me on my weight loss journey. I have already noticed how wonderful everyone is in the weight loss forum.
If I am going to be honest in my weight loss blogging, then I am going to have to tell my stats. You already have my age, and my height is 5’5 ½” to be exact. This time last year, I weighed nearly 270lbs, and my doctor put me on weight loss medications. I lost over 40 pounds, but the drugs stopped working and the weight is creeping back on. Fortunately, I am solid, and no one believes me when I tell my weight, which is 250 lbs, by the way. My measurements are bust: 50, waist: 46, hips: 53, Thighs: 47, single arm: 15.
I wear a size 18W and have a have a closet full of size 16-18 regular that I purchased at 230 lbs last year. My short-term goal is to get back into my wardrobe by spring (March), so I do not have to buy new clothes in a larger size.
In summation, I am looking to lose 100 pounds and to get down to a size 8-10. I weight 250 lbs and am 38 ½ years old. I have lost pounds before using medication or by dieting. I have lost inches before through exercise (I have a red belt in Tae Kwon Do) without dieting. This time I am going to do both at the same time.
I promise to check in a few times a month with my progress, and things I have discovered along the way.
