Looking For My Waist: soliciting weight loss vibes

I know I have not updated my weight loss progress in a while. I am truly sorry. What I am even sorrier about is that I have excuses. You see I am obviously having blood pressure issues causing my feet to swell painfully. I haven’t worn my wedding rings in weeks. Combine that with my hormones being out of whack, and well, you can see why I have not written on my weight loss ‘successes’. I have not had any.

Right now, (until my husband’s contract job is permanent, which should be soon) I am focusing on building good habits. Once I have health insurance again and can go to a doctor, there just is not much more I can do. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

However, as I said, I am working on building good habits.

1. I am filling my fridge with fruit and vegetables (shopping every other day), and eating them. Healthy food is not allowed to waste.

2. Stretching, and exercising as much as possible. Yesterday I put on my pants-shoes as they have a sturdy wide heal and support my ankles better than my sneakers and took a long walk. It is raining today, but I will do it again tomorrow. I have also started doing my Tae Kwon Do Forms again. I like it much better than trying to do Yoga.

3. Taking small bites of sinful food and walking away. When I want chocolate, or a piece of cake my kids made, I take a tiny bit and walk away. Fortunately, my kids are pre-teens and they eat everything not nailed down. Therefore, chances are there will be none left if I return for more.

Do me a favor, and send some encouragement my way. I realize the purpose of my writing in the weight loss blogs was to encourage others, and I am hoping that even this post will in some way. Meanwhile, I need some love and weight loss vibes.
