Something Lisa said this morning really got me thinking. I can talk about dieting and being a red-hot thin momma all I want, but until I start exercising, I really should not expect much. Sure, you can lose a few pounds without exercising and I have over and over again, but until you get moving, efforts will be fruitless.
Therefore, my 12-year-old son and I will go out walking in the morning with the dogs. (He even promised to wake me up) My daughter’s outdoor allergies are bad right now so while Grandma and Grandpa are staying with us, she has a reprieve. Once they close on their house though, she is walking too. I am actually thinking of taking Lisa up on the offer to talk us through a walk-workout if we wanted. Her offer certainly sounds tempting. I probably could use her tough love / drill sergeant approach. (I am just guessing she would be hard on us!)
Meanwhile, I am doing OK in my efforts. I am 5 pounds behind my goal of 1 pound per week. I hope to catch up and get back on track. My weight is 247 again so I lost some of the weight I suddenly gained last week. I am eating a lot of fruit and veggies. ( I spend 80 dollars on produce today! ) Did I mention my in laws are here and waving yummy foods around? Oh, and I lost my measuring tape, but the news cannot be good anyway. I could not get my tight jeans closed this morning, and I could when I started.
So wish me luck on my morning walks. I am doing it for my kids, the dogs, and me!
