Losing the extra weight off your butt takes hard work and exercise. But with discipline and the right diet, you will lose that butt in no time! While walking, bike riding and squatting are a great way to lose fat and tone your rear end, you cannot get the butt you want without eating a healthy diet.
The right diet is a sensible one that involves eating a high number of nutrients and vitamins found in fruits, vegetables, grains, meats and calcium-rich foods, and staying away from foods that are high in saturated fat, salt and sugar.
Every meal you eat should be a healthy one, and it should include some kind of nutrient and vitamin rich food. Try to eat a wide variety of foods so that several nutrients and vitamins are covered. Here is what eating the right diet on a typical day should like:
Breakfast
Each morning, you should start off the day with a good breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day because it gives you the energy you need to get started. Eating breakfast will actually help you lose weight because it will get your metabolism moving. Skipping this important meal will cause you to eat more food when you actually do get around to eating your first meal.
To make a healthy breakfast, stay away from doughnuts and pastries because they are high in calories, and will, in fact, go “straight to your butt.” Instead, eat any of the following, but in moderation: eggs; French toast, waffles, or pancakes made from wheat; high-fiber cereal with skim milk; oatmeal or cream of wheat; yogurt; or whole-grain bagel, toast or English muffin. Topping any of these foods with fruit will not only make for a tastier dish, but it will add more nutrients and vitamins to your already healthy meal. Wash it all down with a glass of fresh orange juice or fat free milk.
Lunch
A healthy lunch should include a variety of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Making a sandwich using whole grain bread, pita or rolls will boost your fiber intake. Top the bread with fresh turkey or chicken breast, which is healthier than ham or bologna. Add lettuce, tomato and reduced fat mayonnaise. For added nutrition, put a slice of cheese on your sandwich, and eat a piece of fruit for extra sweetness. Instead of drinking soda, drink water or a sugar-free drink.
Dinner
To keep with your daily task of eating a healthy diet, your dinner should consist of a lean meat, vegetable and grain. Salads topped with fat-free dressing or oil and vinegar make for a tasty appetizer. Meats such as chicken breast and lean turkey, or fish such as salmon and tuna make a healthy main course. All can be prepared in a variety of ways. They are especially healthy if grilled or broiled. Brown rice or vegetables like corn, carrots, string beans or peas make a healthy addition.
No matter what your meals include, the key to losing that butt is sticking to a diet that is high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and fish, and is low in the bad fats, sugar and sodium. If you eat right, the weight will come right off your butt.
