Losing Sight of Your Vision

Perhaps you have been at this home business endeavor for a while–you started out with great focus and idealism and now you are just holding it together and wrestling with all the details on a daily basis. Have you lost sight of your vision? Have you forgotten what you wanted to accomplish when you started your home business? Are you having a hard time staying motivated since you’ve lost the “zest” or spark that makes you want to get up and get to work in the morning?

First of all, there is no reason to get down on yourself–it happens to all of us! We have a vision, an idea of what we want our home businesses to be all about–but then the reality of day-to-day takes its toll. We might have to compromise here and there, make adjustments and change to meet different demands, and before we know it, the home business we are running does not look anything like the one we thought we would be operating. Or it might just be a little “off”–enough that we are feeling like we aren’t exactly sure what we are trying to accomplish.

I think we can get some of that original zest and focus back–it just takes some effort. It might take stripping away some of those things that are getting in the way of accomplishing what we want to. Have we become bogged down with unimportant details or let ourselves get de-railed in order to meet other people’s expectations? Go back to all those notes and plans you made in the beginning and see if there are dreams and ideas you can resurrect. You might need to take a good look at what you set out to do and compare it to where you are now in order to figure out how to get your vision back and get back on track with your home business efforts!
